Although in the heart of Orvieto, close to the Corso Cavour and to the more touristic area, La Grotta has remained a truly authentic Italian trattoria with great Umbrian food and fine local wines. Indeed many locals come here to enjoy lunch or dinner. The team of La Grotta will welcome you very warmly and invite you in to discover the interesting decor with grotto-ceilings and rough frescos on the walls.

The menu of food and wines is very varied. Our favorites are Saltimbocca, Osso Bucco or Scaloppini. La Grotta is really a neat little place in Orvieto with good and simple, yet delicious food. Truly good value. The only downside is that La Grotta does not have an outdoor terrace. It makes it a perfect choice for a somewhat more chilly evening in spring or autumn. We go there often and do recommend stopping by this little gem. You certainly won’t be sorry.
