If you don’t mind driving half an hour through Monte Rufeno’s National Park, you should certainly visit Daniela’s in San Casciano dei Bagni. Old castle stables have been converted into a characteristic restaurant and inside, you just feel like being a guest on a medieval banquet. During the summer months however, you can dine outside on the terrace under the stars, with magnificent views over the valleys and hills of the Tuscan and Umbrian countryside.
Ristorante Daniela’s offers traditional Tuscan and Umbrian cuisine served with wines from the remarkable wine cellar. You should certainly try the pasta with lobsters. Just great. Daniela’s is a product of a historic family of restaurateurs from San Casciano dei Bagni. Her grandparents managed the Bar Centrale next door to the restaurant as of 1920. Daniela’s is a real point of reference for locals and visitors.
